It is so sad and disappointing that politics in Nigeria have been reduced to below its basest essence.For the first time in its 16 years of dominance at the centre,the PDP is facing the strongest opposition providided by the seemingly formidable APC
However,going by type of campaign championed by these two parties which are largely not issue based,Nigerians are in for predictable disappointment
In a plural country where politicians will always exploit ethnic and religious differences to their advantage,the two strong parties in the forth coming elections have failed to point a better direction.In saner clime no one wins election because of only religious or ethnic affiliation but rather on the strength of what they can offer the electorate
Religion in Nigeria has been so basterdized by politics to the extent that the worst politics are played in our churches and mosques and other not too popular religions
Its very instructive that the PDP and APC should adopt issue based campaign rather than widening the cracks of differences in religion and ethnicity in the people they want to govern
Religious leaders should desist from soiling their garmanent of honour with the dirty greese of partisan politics but rather serve as counsel to a generation in dire need of godly leaders
May Nigeria be the winner in this 2015 election. God bless Nigeria
